Mette Pedersen Ring II by moth-owl Mette Pedersen Ring II by moth-owl
Just for an idea of size.
see [link]

Had a mega-Origami day on Friday and folded pretty continuously throughout the whole day. `synconi taught me how to make a Kawasaki Rose, but I haven't quite perfected it yet

I followed this tutorial. It took me 1 hour of folding and I used 18 7.5cm sorry, 3cm squares of paper. Modules are relatively easy to fold and put together, and the result is a ring with a fairly sturdy feel to it.

awesome!
One Question: may I use this picture in my presentation on Origami? (it's only a small presentation in front of my class) I will of course credit you.

Thank you
That's fine. In terms of distribution who would get this presentation? I don't mind it being on handouts etc, but I would prefer it not to be publicised on the web, if that's alright. But apart from that that's fine. Thank you!

I just made one of these too.
Mine is a bit smaller, and it doesn't look as neat as yours.
Yours looks really good!

Ooh, this is so amazing! I really like the shape and how you've managed to make it more interesting with the variety of colours and all.

I feel as if you could crop it into a proper square, but I can understand if you want to include the thumb and all... I guess it's better framed with the other piece because of that.

Awesome depth of field and lighting, though. Heck, this isn't even about the photograph, it's about the origami, which is stunning. It feels quite perfect. :O

Thank you! Yeah, I would have cropped it into a square if it wasn't for the thumb!

Do you like origami?

I love it. :D

Don't have time to do it myself, but it's calming. :)

It is! I think it's the repetition that makes it therapeutic. You should definitely try it! You don't have to spend ages on it, but 5 minutes of origami in a stressful day makes all the difference.

I know what you mean. :D

I totally would if I had the time.

I fold napkins in a sort of origami way when I go to work, so it's not so bad.

Well, that is a form of origami! I guess it's kinda like doodling- it calms you down and it's not as "serious" as other art forms like painting etc where you have set materials. :)

That's true. :O

I can't doodle to save my life. ^^;
